THE CLIENT
Mothership Group owns and operates some of East London’s most loved hangouts: Queen of Hoxton, The Book Club and Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen as well as Patterns on the seafront in Brighton. They are an events operator and venue group aimed at creative twenty-somethings and underpinned by a head-turning programme of music and cultural events
The Brief
The client is launching a drinking/eating outdoor space on a terrace overlooking the seafront in Brighton and wanted a digital menu designed that could be emailed to potential customers and uploaded to the website online.
"It’s a festival theme so needs to be fun and summery, but it needs to tie in with the terrace rebrand."
THE RESEARCH
I looked over the conceptual mood boards that an interiors agency had created for the client and also referenced the bars brand guidelines and images of the venue.

As the name 'Patterns' suggests the venue's branding is heavy on hand drawn patterns, shapes and textures. Images below were found online.

GOING VECTOR
I was sent huge TIFF files of the textures and patterns and spent time bring them into illustrator and create vectors and swatch patterns from them.
